In a tweet on Wednesday, July 2nd, Elon Musk Chief Executive Officer of Tesla Inc. confirmed that Tesla Inc is building “RNA micro-factories” for coronavirus vaccine developer CureVac in Germany.

CureVac, an unlisted German company, has said it is developing transportable, automated mRNA production units that it calls printers. They will be designed to be shipped to remote locations, where they can churn out its vaccine candidate and other mRNA-based therapies depending on the recipe fed into the machine.

In any case, for the prompt pandemic use, should its vaccine candidate win market approval, it has production sites with regulatory approval in Germany with the ability to deliver a huge number of portions.

It is additionally fabricating a new stationery site that could expand its yield ten times to billions of dosages. Musk didn’t expand on his arrangements. Tesla and CureVac were not promptly accessible to comment.

Musk, who is perceived to make extemporaneous statements on Twitter, had in March said that Tesla has extra FDA-approved ventilators that can be shipped free of cost to hospitals within regions where the electric-car maker delivers.
