Conceived in a kitchen in the United Kingdom in 2014, established in the business nucleus of the black continent in 2016, our mission here at Eagle Global Markets has always been unitary: to connect Africans to opportunities in the global marketplace.
As the only Africans on the continent to own a brokerage firm, our concerns are firmly localized and rooted in disruption: we aim to provide African investors, regardless of social status, age or exposure, with an intuitive and cost-effective platform where they can trade a plethora of options either in foreign or their local currency.
The ultimate aim of course is attaining financial freedom. We believe that nothing should stop Dami, a 25 year-old lawyer working at Templars or 46-year old Mama Chukwudi who sells food stuff in Oyingbo market from generating an additional source of income from trading financial markets. In the same way 18-year old Ibrahim, a Babcock student, should not have to rely solely on pocket money from popsi or mumsi. We believe that it’s time to break the cultural construct of earning salaries, wages and 9–5s; your money should be working for you and not the other way round.

What we are doing at EGM really is rebuilding the institutional brokerage in Nigeria and Africa from the ground up. We are in the business of bringing opportunities through technology to help people invest on their terms, be it on mobile devices or any other gadget.
We’ve already built a solid foundation — a modern technology infrastructure that simplifies complicated financial transactions. There is a robust array of tools and a great interface on our platforms for investors interested in doing their own trading.
For those who are a bit skeptical about their abilities, we have an amazing new feature called ZuluTrade, which enables you to allocate some of your funds to replicate the actions of a professional trader. Also, there’s our sister platform, EGM Analytics, that helps traders digest the daily financial news and the daily workings of the financial markets not to mention that we just upgraded our MT4 platform to a more powerful one equipped with tight spreads, zero commissions and lots more.
